Come and make your own tufted rug or wallpiece!
Tufting is an old craft that most people may recognize from rya rugs. Tufting involves first drawing your design on stretched hessian fabric on a frame. Then, you tuft the design with yarn and a danella needle, which creates loops on the other side of the hessian, forming your tufted wall peice. No prior experience is required to tuft.
Our teacher
The teacher, Cathrine Svarre, loves the creative process of tufting, and especially the calm and focus that tufting can bring. Cathrine has the Instagram profile @t_u_f_t_e_d_l_o_v_e, where you can find inspiration and tufting tips.
