PAINT ON CLAY

Come and immerse yourself in painting with clay colours on your ceramics.

The workshop is happening on two Sundays. The first time you come you make your clay object, it can be everything from a soap dish, a cup, a toothbrush holder or something completely different. We use our hands and simple tools to shape the clay.

The second part og the workshop is dedicated to painting the clay creation.

Afterwards, we glaze with a transparent glaze and burn your ceramics. It can take around a month before you can pick up your finished item. We will send an email when the pottery is ready to be picked up.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The workshop is 2 hours per day and costs DKK 300 to join. The ticket is for both days. We meet both days at 13:00. The price includes teaching, materials, firing and glazing, done by Absalon’s potters. Wear clothes that can bear getting dirty.

The ceramics workshop is located on the 3rd floor of Folkehuset Absalon. Use the stairs by the bar. There is no elevator.

Our ceramicists will be guiding and giving you advice, but we can’t guarantee that all the clay creations will make it through the firing.

NOTE: Remember to check the dates thoroughly before you buy a ticket! Purchased tickets are not refundable or able to be exchanged for another date.
