It’s Friday bar on Saturday in the ceramics workshop! Come and enjoy a beer, the Saturday atmosphere, and make some pottery.
We are going to be making portraits of each other, so bring a friend, family member, partner or come and make a new friend. It’s not about being perfect, here you can just have fun and be creative.
We start with a lump of clay, which we shape and hollow out so that it becomes a portrait of your ceramic partner. We use hands and simple tools to shape the clay.
After the workshop, the creations are fired and glazed. It can take around a month before you can pick up the finished cup or bowl. We will send an email when your ceramics is ready to be picked up.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Absalon’s ceramics workshop is located on the 3rd floor of the room called ‘Børnehavnen’ (The Kindergarten). You get up there by using the stairs at the bar. There is no elevator.
The workshop takes 2 hours and costs 200 kr. per. person. The price includes one beer, teaching, materials, firing, and glazing, done by Absalon’s potters. Wear clothes that can bear getting dirty.
Our ceramicists will be guiding and giving you advice, but we can’t guarantee that all the clay creations will make it through the firing.
NOTE: Remember to buy your tickets for the correct date below. We both have tickets for Friday and Saturday. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for another date.
