CPH:DOX X ABSALON: Q&A, FILM & RAVE PARTY

In partnership with the documentary film festival CPH:DOX we invite you to a rave – in the spirit of the film ‘Free Party’.

Come and experience the raving Free Party movement of the 90s and meet film director Aaron Trinder for an introductory Q&A about the making of film and his fascination with the creative and radical energy of the underground movement.

After the screening of ‘Free Party’, we clear Absalon’s large hall and fire up electronic tunes and spacy spiral visuals. DJ Kasper Marott invites you to the dance floor from 11-00 pm, after which Absalon’s DJ Thomas Tvivleren takes over the DJ booth. VJ sillou.8 contributes with trippy visuals and everyone is welcome to dance all night in true British rave style! 

About the film ‘Free Party’
Welcome to a party so wild that the British state had to rewrite the law to ban it, and that the electronic sound waves of the raging Free Party movement of the 1990s still resonate today.

About DJ Kasper Marott
Since his debut in 2014, Kasper Marott has time and again shown his ability to produce ecstatic and at the same time reflective tracks with a clear voice. With his highly refined taste across genres, he has also proven to be a unique talent as a DJ – his ear for the percussive elements of music is of a rare kind, and his DJ sets glide effortlessly between moods, tempos and styles.

In 2018 he released his breakthrough EP and in 2019 he and his friend Alfredo92 launched the community-based label Axces, which has been a place for more exotic versions of house and techno on the Danish scene, mainly influenced by the trance/techno of the 90s.

Silje Andersen is a digital artist. She connects art and technology through her visual work and creates installation art and audiovisual performances. Under the pseudonym

sillou.8, she creates live visuals for concerts, events and nightclubs and also exhibits individual – interactive – installation works.
