ABSALONS BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Join the hunt for Absalon’s best band 2024! Or do you want to be Absalon’s best band?

Cool bands and soloists will battle for the title of Absalon’s best, and you can help choose who it will be!

In addition to you, there will be a sharp jury involved.

There will be two preliminary rounds on February 21 and March 13, where 3 bands each night will have the chance to qualify for the final on April 5.

For the second semifinal, you can meet these 3 acts:

Adrenaline
Adrenaline consists of 4 guys from Klaksvík, Faroe Islands, who love rock and hip-hop!

In 2023, they played their first international concert in Iceland. They have played several concerts in the Faroe Islands, both venues and festivals, and are now ready to come to Denmark and perform for the first time!

Forskudt
Forskudt is a group of young musicians from Svendborg. They write songs about silly love and youth. They describe their music style as pop mixed with indie rock, but their overall goal is to write meaningful songs that people can dance to.

Thais
Thais is a songwriter from Vestegnen. His Danish-language lyrics move in the realm of pop but with a dark edge. For his performance, he has assembled a band to play with him.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Each act will have a 20-minute set to show why they should be Absalon’s best band! After the 20 minutes, they will receive feedback from our judging panel.

When the evening’s 3 acts have performed, one will advance to the final on April 5.
