Fools Gold – BRIT POP & INDIE ROCK KARAOKE + Afterparty

Fools Gold is returning to Absalon for an Indie & Brit-Pop blow-out, and it has almost nothing to do with capitalising on the recent reformation of any Mancunian bands! 

The Karaoke set-up will be ready to receive participants, and you are seriously welcome to sing other things than Wonderwall. For example, anything by The Smiths, Kate Bush, The Cure, Blur, Happy Mondays, New Order, or Joy Division—the choice is yours!

It is important to stress that Champagne Supernova and others are still very much on the menu, but why not branch out and try something state-side from Weezer, The Talking Heads, The Strokes, Blondie, The Pixies, The White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Television or Iggy Pop!? The choices are endless! Fuck it, you could even try and do The Fall – see how that turns out!

Remember, you’ve only got 3 hours to do as much screamy karaoke as you can before we dance it all off with DJ’s Dingo Tracks and Yupa – who will deliver you back to relative sanity with dance-floor ready guitar sounds for everyone and anyone who is sick to the back teeth of Berlin techno.
