Modern dance workshop

Come along when Absalon and Cathrin invite you to a modern dance workshop on February 24^th.
 

With a mixture of improvisation and guided warm-up, we focus at the beginning of the class on different movement patterns, dance qualities, expressions and slowly build up to easily accessible sequences with a focus on technique, strength, flow and grounding.

During the class, we will work on exploring our own material based on specific exercises, ideas and improvisation. We will use our imagination and strengthen our individual expression through playing, reflection, immersion, and technique. We will explore our potential and movement patterns by pushing our limits and creating new ways of expressing ourselves. Separately and with each other. In addition, we will work with small sequences/choreography.

The workshop will provide opportunities for development, learning and immersion in our own language of movement, create inspiration, open creativity and the opportunity for growth and strength, regardless of what dance background or experience you bring. Everyone is welcome.

About the teacher

Cathrin Elenor Nørgaard is educated modern dancer from Contemporary Dance School Hamburg and has both danced and taught in Denmark and abroad. She has worked with several genres within modern dance and improvisation and emphasizes creating a safe space for development and growth within free movement, modern dance and technique.

Please arrive in good time, we start the class on time.

Price: 150 kr.

Room: ‘Klubben’ at 1^st floor.

Wear clothes you can move in and bring a water bottle.
