FIGURE DRAWING COURSE

14:30 - 17:30

This course is in English.
Come and learn the basics of figure drawing in Absalon!


This three-week course is for you, who would like to work on your drawing skills.

Our teacher will guide you through sessions of drawing a life model. There will be teaching in different techniques such as drawing

fundamentals, gesture, basic form, proportions and shading.

Step by step, we will be working on the different techniques for drawing a wholesome figure.

You don’t need to be a skilled drawer to join this course.

Sunday the 14th of January

We will start with an introduction about the course. We will be talking about drawing fundamentals, the general and historical information about croquis and gesture.

 

Sunday the 21st of January

Today we will talk about structure in a drawing, the robo bean structure, basic form and mannequinization.

 

Sunday the 28th of January

We will be  working on proportions, landmarks, balance and shading in a drawing.


Our teacher 

The teacher Gabriel Hintenaus has a background in fine arts from the Watts Atelier in California, where his focus was on painting, drawing and figure drawing. Furthermore he has been studying 3D animation and loves the fusion of traditional art and the digital art world.

Gabriel is now working as a senior concept artist and has many years of experience in the entertainment industry. Currently working with digital art in the firm Mood Visuals.

 


PRACTICAL INFO

We are in Tårnværelset on the 3rd floor. You get there by taking the stairs up from the entrance. There is no elevator.

We meet three Sundays from 14:30-17:30. Sunday the 14th, 21st and 28th of January.

It costs 600 kr. to join the course and you buy your ticket on the page below.

The tickets are non-refundable and can’t be changed to another date.

 

Materials

We suggest you buy charcoal pencils (For example Conte a Paris pierre noire B and HB) and use A3 paper with a smooth surface. Buy it either online or in an art shop.
