Creative improvisational dance workshop

Come along to an inspiring and creative workshop in improvisation & guided dance.
 

We start with a gentle warm-up. Often supported by short meditation or focus on the breath. Stretch and time to land in the body. From here, through guided improvisation, we will focus on different movement patterns, dance qualities and expressions.

We will work on creating from our own imagination to promote our individual expression through play, immersion and combining specific exercises with free movement. Awareness and understanding of the body are in focus, as well as exploring the joy of dance, which is awakened through the structure and course of the workshop.

There will be time for reflection and the opportunity to push our limits and ideas about what is possible. Surprise ourselves in order to create new ways of expressing ourselves. Open up to creativity with a playful and light approach to dance. An opportunity to explore and release your creative potential through movement. All to moving and inspiring music. Each separately and with each other in a safe and informal setting.

About the teacher

Cathrin Elenor Nørgaard is educated modern dancer from Contemporary Dance School Hamburg and has both danced and taught in Denmark and abroad. She has worked with several genres within modern dance and improvisation and emphasizes creating a safe space for development and growth within free movement, modern dance and technique.

Please arrive in good time, we start the class on time.

Room: ‘Klubben’ at 1^st floor.

Wear clothes you can move in and bring a water bottle.
