Experience ballet up close and hear good stories about the ballet when the Royal Ballet visits Absalon.
This evening we will take a closer look at star choreographer Wayne McGregor's wild and poetic ballet, which is based on Dante's "The Divine Comedy", which can be experienced for the first time in Denmark. We will hear about the story, see a selection of scenes and hear music from the performance. "The Divine Comedy" was written by Dante Alighieri in the 14th century and is considered one of the greatest works in literature. We come far and wide in the world of philosophy, religion and poetry as Dante embarks on a journey through hell, purgatory and paradise.
It's quite informal, so leave the theater coat at home and bring your curiosity instead, because we watch the ballet from our flat shoes and with a glass of Wednesday wine or a cold beer.
We look forward to talking about and watching dance from the wonderful world of ballet with you!
