Ceramics: Cup & Bowl

Come and be a part of shaping your very own cup with a handle or bowl that can be used for anything.

With pinching and coiling techniques, we will be making functional and decorative ceramics. We use our hands and simple tools to transform the clay from a hard lump to a finished object.

After the workshop, the creations are fired and glazed. It can take up to three weeks before you can pick up the finished cup or bowl. We will send an email when your ceramics is ready to be picked up.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Absalon’s ceramics workshop is located on the 3rd floor of the room called ‘Børnehavnen’ (The Kindergarten). You get up there by using the stairs at the bar. There is no elevator.

The workshop takes 2.5 hours and costs DKK 200 per. person.

The price includes teaching, materials, firing, and glazing, done by Absalon’s potters. Wear clothes that can bear getting dirty.

NOTE. Our ceramicists will be guiding and giving you advice, but we can’t guarantee that all the clay creations will make it through the firing.

Note for tickets in December: Your ceramics will not be able to be ready before Christmas.
